This is a basic white rice recipe you can serve on the side of soup or with beans.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of white long grain rice
4 cups of water
Directions:
In a 3 quart pot, add the rice, olive oil, salt and water.
Turn the stove on to medium high heat
Stir the ingredients and cover
Bring contents to a boil
Stir the ingredients again and lower the heat to simmer
Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed
Serve
